Henry Freeman is a prolific author and has written about many wars that have taken place in the history of the world along with biographies of famous personalities.
World War I was in fact the war that changed the world.  A bloody war that led to loss of life, collapsing economies, and monarchs abdicated, empires ended, armies were destroyed, countries were devastated and towns and cities were pulverized.
The World War I began in 1914 and ended only in 1918. It was the first industrialized war. Revolutionary technology was used to kill and maim as many as possible. There were advancement in guns, tanks, submarines, planes, bombs; – the industries were being used to create only weapons of war and mass destruction. The young who fought in the trenches saw devastation. The nations fighting the battle wanted to win under every circumstance.

This book describes and explains in great detail with the help of a timeline the entire series of events that led to the beginning of the World War I and how all the events unfolded. It also talks about the events and causes that have shaped the war and the moments which are regarded as milestones in history. These include important battles which changed the outcome for the world forever.
