The original book was published in 1937 . The book to a great extent has been kept the same except a few minor changes. Written by Napoleon Hill the book was promoted as a self improvement book and personal development book. Hill is said to have been inspired by the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.

Although the book promotes the ways to increase income. The author in fact suggests that those who follow his book can succeed in any career and do anything they want. Napolean Hill died in 1970 when over 20 million copies were sold. By the year 2015 over a 100 million copies have been sold worldwide.
It still remains a big seller among his other books. His book is based on one of his  written works -  The Law of Success, a study of individuals who amassed huge personal fortunes.

Hill  established 16 laws that can be applied to achieve success. Think and Grow Rich condenses these laws giving the reader 13 principles which can be used to create a Philosophy of Achievement.
Mark Hansen says that two principles are very important:-
 1) The MasterMind principle/process and
2) "Know very clearly where you want to go."

The book insists you need to have faith and desire to succeed. Your perseverance and hard work will lead you to great heights. Focus on the goal and put down any negative thoughts.
There are many books and courses that have been created from the Think and Grow Rich principles.
There are several books on personal finance and how to become rich but none who do better than this book published in 1937.
Napoleon Hill, former advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, talked to over five hundred most successful men in this country. He wrote over 200 pages and wrote  a 200-page book called Think and Grow Rich, which become a best-selling books of all time.
